Short Background
I’m reading this book during the Enhance Community Quarantine from March 14 – April 14, 2020. I plan to share the summary and some of my insights here regarding the content of the book. In that way, I can share the lessons I learn from this book. Also, it is my way of recording where I am at the moment, and what level of understanding I have. I look forward to learn a lot from this book. I hope you also learn something from this!

About the Book
Life is like a combination lock; your job is to find the right numbers, in the right order, so you can have anything you want.”  – Brian Tracy

Jack Canfield, the author, says that the principles in this book will work and will always work if we work the principles. He reinforced that the fundamentals of success are the same for all people and all professions – even if we are currently unemployed we can use these principles. And… the principle will always work. If we apply these principles with discipline every day, these principles will transform our life. The word apply is an important part. According to Jim Rohn, “You can’t hire someone else to do your push-ups for you.” In order for the principles to have a result, we must do it ourselves. No one else can do these things for us. This book will guide us, but we need to drive and direct our life. The book will teach the principles, but we need to apply it and put in the effort to use these principles to get results.

The book has six sections:

1) The Fundamentals of Success
2) Transform Yourself for Success
3) Build Your Success Team
4) Create Successful Relationships
5) Success and Money
6) Success Starts Now

The first section tackles about the basic principles to learn how we can get from where we are to where we want to be. These principles will help us to clarify our life purpose, our vision, and what we truly want. This section will help us turn our vision to concrete goals and action plans to achieve it. These action plans will require us to learn how to ask, reject rejection, solicit and respond to feedback, and persevere during challenging moments as we achieve our purpose and vision.

The second section discusses the principles related to inner work that we have to do in ourselves to remove any mental and emotional blocks that hinder us to success. It is not enough to know what to do, but it is also important to understand the methodology to remove self-defeating beliefs, fears ad habits that hold us back.

The first and second sections focus more on personal management. The succeeding three sections focus on developing success principles related to building a team, relationships and money. The sixth section shows the importance of getting starting now and empowering others along the process.

So let’s start to learn Principle 1: Take 100% Responsibility of Your Life .
